Take your store to the next level
OBERLIN, OH, June 23, 2017 – The National Association of College Stores supports and encourages collaboration among publishers, wholesalers, campus stores and the larger community to reduce the spread of counterfeit textbooks and copyright infringement. This is a blight on our industry that ultimately contributes to higher costs for students. Publishers have stepped up efforts to combat piracy by incorporating anti-counterfeiting measures into their products and by providing information to others in the supply chain on how to spot counterfeits and avoid buying them. Others have an obligation to be diligent in their sourcing practices and in their efforts to identify counterfeits. We encourage all those involved to work together to curtail this growing problem. We applaud the progress that has been made, particularly over the past year, by publishers, distributors and booksellers.
