Xtreme Learning Tours
What better way to explore what's on the cutting-edge of retail than to see for yourself? From the striking brand expression of the 5th Ave. Apple flagship store to the world-famous Bergdorf Goodman windows to the retail phenomenons of SoHo ("South of Houston" Street), you will take the concepts and ideas from the learning sessions to the streets of Manhattan for an immersive learning experience. Working in small groups, walking tours will explore the innovative and inspiring mainstream retailers in Midtown, the upper East Side, Greenwich Village, and SoHo.*
To begin translating theory to practice, you will have the opportunity to visit the New York University NYU Bookstores' Main Bookstore and Computer Store. The Main Bookstore carries course materials, NYU clothing and gifts, supplies, stationary, trade books, study aids, and more. The Computer Store carries both hardware and software from all the major vendors. This is a unique opportunity to examine how these campus stores thrive in the demanding and competitive retail environment of the Big Apple.
