Paul E. Mares, CSP is manager of the Fort Lewis College Bookstore and president of Mares and Associates, a management consulting firm for higher education business services. He served as executive vice president for Connect 2 One for five years and as director of the UCSD bookstore (UC-San Diego) for 27 years. Few have taught and mentored more industry leaders than Paul. He is past president of the California Association of College Stores, the National Association of College Stores and the NACS Foundation. He also has taught several educational seminars for CACS, NACS, NACAS, and NACUBO as well as for individual clients in higher education. Paul has been active in industry education and professional development and has facilitated seminars and workshops at all levels.
